Jekyll Brewing rolls out its year-round craft beer, Big Creek, in six-pack bottles this week. The beer has low bitterness and a light, crisp and clean finish, making it ideal for warmer months.
A delicately balanced beer whose style originates from Cologne, Germany, Big Creek is guided by the German Beer Purity Law. The style, which uses warm-fermenting ale yeast but is cold-conditioned like a lager, achieves both the fruity notes often found in ales and the bready characteristics of lagers. The beer is crisp, lively, and dry. Tasters often cite hints of pear in the beer’s finish.
Craft beer lovers can find Big Creek at their local package stores, neighborhood grocery stores, and specialty grocery stores. Most package stores will carry Big Creek but if a particular store does not, customers can simply ask for Jekyll Brewing’s Big Creek by name.
Jekyll Brewing brews all of its beer in Alpharetta, GA and is located at 2855 Marconi Drive, Suite 350. The tap room is open for tours and beer tastings Tuesday through Thursday, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday, 4:00 – 9:00 p.m., and on Saturdays 1:00 – 9:00 p.m.
