…and that baby is up and running!
She’s a beauty, too. We documented the whole process in our Facebook Album.
And man, was it much more than we expected. We moved from a hand-bottling system to this new system that keeps us rockin’ and rollin’ out the Jekyll beer.
Our previous hand-bottling system could fill four bottles and a time, and it could only cap two at a time. Three guys at a time would work long shifts to make sure you were getting the beer you loved! These guys are now at different stations on the automated line. We’re proud (and relieved!) to say we hung on to all of them in the move to automation. We need them!
The new system will crank out about 120 bottles per minute on an average day. We can keep meeting the demand for fresh, local craft beer and do it more efficiently than before.
